Mobile Private Network

An LTE (4G) mobile private network (MPN) is in the process of being set up, which will provide voice, data and narrowband data (NB-IoT) services in the Upper Calder Valley. Given the nature of cellular networks, SIM cards will be required for access and therefore this will be a private network, albeit for community benefit, with the initial focus being flood sensors and providing backup mobile communications for wardens when Hebden Bridge floods.
