The Things Network

TTN Communities

The Things Network is a global crowdsourced Internet of Things network for wireless devices. It started in Amsterdam and with a number of gateways was able to cover a large are in a short space of time. The original Kickstarter project was set up to raise funds to produce a low cost gateway in order to expand the global reach of The Things Network.

The network is being grown by means of local communities who purchase their own gateways and provide the network access for their area. Local communities exist in Calderdale, Thatcham, Reading, Liverpool, Manchester, Oxford and other locations within the UK and worldwide.
